I started at RapDev as an intern on the ServiceNow Engineering team in June 2023, fresh out of my second year of university. Like most of my peers, I was trying to find a position that would be the start of my career and would give me “real-world” experience. What I didn’t know was that it would turn into something much bigger.

I quickly realized that I had found something special during my first summer. The work was interesting and exciting, the company culture was unlike anything I had ever seen, and the people were incredible. After the first month, I knew that I wanted to continue working at RapDev part-time during the school year.

Over time, RapDev became more than just an internship or a job. It became the place I saw myself growing, and, as I started to think more and more about university ending and what my life would look like once it was finished, I knew that I wanted to start my full-time career at RapDev.

My second summer at RapDev came and went, and it was somehow better than the first. It was filled with more learning, hands-on experience, and a deeper involvement in the team. During my final semester of university, I received my offer to join RapDev full-time, and I couldn’t have been more excited.

One of the many things that makes RapDev a unique place to have an internship is the company culture. At RapDev, there is no such thing as a stupid question. Everyone is always willing to jump in and help answer a question, solve a problem, or explain a new concept to someone, no matter how big or small it is. RapDev also has a great balance between taking work seriously and having fun. People work hard, move fast, get shit done, and have a great time doing it.

Looking back on my internship experience, RapDev helped me grow personally and professionally. It helped give me “real-world” experience that I could apply to my studies, taught me how to better approach problems, and gave me a front row seat to how a fast-paced, innovative business operates. As I transition to my full-time role, I’m excited and incredibly grateful to be continuing my journey with an amazing team and company.

I’m a developer on the ServiceNow engineering team at RapDev, based in Toronto. I recently graduated from university in Spring 2025, after interning with RapDev and transitioning to a full-time role. Outside of work, I like to play golf in the summer, ski in the winter, and spend time with friends and family.
